Arvind Lifestyle Brands to tap young talent with Arvind Runway

Arvind Lifestyle Brands Limited, a subsidiary of Arvind Ltd is partnering with design schools across India to tap the best young talent in the industry through its innovative concept, Arvind Runway.
 


The fashion unit of Arvind has collaborated with design schools such as NIFT, Pearl and NID giving students an opportunity to showcase their creations at a fashion show. The company recent launched its private label ‘Arvind ready to wear’ and also co owns Sachin Tendulkar’s True Blue.
 
Arvind India’s leading lifestyle and fashion company is looking to tap young designers for its private labels and brands by offering jobs to these young designers.

This year around 22 interns from various different design schools were shortlisted to be a part of Arvind Runway however only 5 finalists made the cut and were offered contracts with Arvind Lifestyle Brands. The five designers are Mahima Rajpal, Ashish Kumar, Preeti Saboo, Ankita Kayal and Safwana KP.
 
Commenting on the event, J Suresh, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Arvind Lifestyle Brands Ltd, in a statement said, “Arvind Lifestyle Brands is renowned not only for making global fashion brands accessible to Indian customers, but also for being the home of the best design talent in India today. Arvind Runway serves as a stepping stone to propel the careers of design interns and showcase their skills, talent and knowledge acquired during the course of their internship. We are thrilled to have honed some of the best talent in the country.”
 
Arvind has licensing relationships with international brands including Gap, TCP, Gant, Nautica, Aeropostale, Arrow, Izod, US Polo Association, Elle, Ed Hardy, Hanes, Cherokee and Geoffrey Beene.
