As festival season approaches, a slew of fashion and lifestyle events are coming up promising to inspire buyers for their holiday gifts and dress them for their upcoming events. One of these is Araaish and this event is a little different as its main focus is on raising money for Save the Children India, albeit through an extravaganza of fashion and shopping. This event follows Araaish’s latest charity shopping event in Dubai which was held on September 16.

On Thursday September 28, fashion brands including Amber, Mandira Wirk, Art Apparel by Camelia, and Bharti Brahmbhatt will exhibit their designs for the public to shop. For gifts, an array of brands including Azizi homeware and Tea Charmers artisan tea will have stalls to help get shoppers into the holiday spirit. Moreover, Vinay Shrihari, Skynique Jewels, and the Desi Soul are just some of the jewellery labels confirmed for the event. The event is organised by Mana Shetty and the next Araaish event in Mumbai is planned for February 2, 2018, although no further details have been announced yet.

Araaish is the fundraising arm of Save the Children India and was set up in tribute to Vipula Kadri, a humanitarian who set up Save the Children India in 1988. The first Araaish fashion event took place on October 17, 2007, at Worli in Mumbai and, since then, the event has expanded and also takes place in New Delhi and Dubai multiple times a year as well as in other Indian metros.
