Anupamaa shows at IBFW with "Le Optimiste"

Anupamaa showed a brightly coloured resort collection, “Le Optimiste” at India Beach Fashion Week (IBFW) in Goa on October 26.

After recently showing her spring/summer 2018 collection at Amazon India Fashion Week in New Delhi, Anupamaa Dayal presented her brand’s resort collection at IBFW. The show took place on the first day of the fashion week at Goa’s Marriott Hotel and Spa and was sponsored by Volkswagen.

Known for bright colours, embroidery, and print, Anupamaa did not disappoint and showed a rainbow array of resort style garments. Entitled “Le Optimiste”, the show had a positive feel and models walked the runway grinning from ear to ear. Kaftans and other loose shaped garments dominated the show and each garment was embellished in some form or other.

The collection featured mixed prints, tassels, and embroidered flowers that made the garments’ simple silhouettes come alive. To fit with the beach theme of the show, models were barefoot save for crochet foot and ankle accessories and hair and makeup was kept simple and beach-ready.

Anupamaa was launched in 2004 by Anupamaa Dayal who was later awarded the Designer of the Year Award by Cosmopolitan in 2011. The brand retails from a number of multi-brand boutiques across India and also has its own e-commerce store.
