Antar Agni by Uijawal Dubey will showcase a collection entitled “Begin” at LFW - Antar Agni

The Antar Agni runway show will take place on August 22 at 8pm in the Studio at the St Regis in Mumbai. The menswear collection, entitled “Begin”, has the tagline, “To break away, yet embrace the mundane."

“Acceptance of the conventional and yet a departure from it is seen in this line from Antar Agni which leads us to the sweet spot of rebellion versus tradition,” said the brand in a press release.

“It is a celebration of the repetition of the self and the mundane. The self that sometimes is quiet as a shadow and sometimes takes over. The new line is inspired by these human emotions that tend to make us break away and still keep us rooted.”

The collection will feature a mix of “subtle” prints and deconstructed metallic embroidery. The colour palate will be dark with shades of black, navy, and military green to contrast the metallic detailing and hints of mustard. Tailoring will include draping and layering mixed with more structured pieces.

Uijawal Dubey, the designer of Antar Agni, made it to the finals of the Woolmark Prize International 2017/2018 to represent India and the Middle East in the menswear category. Dubey founded the brand in 2014 and launched it at LFW. The brand is available in multi-brand boutiques across India.

LFW will run at the St Regis in Mumbai from August 22 to 26.
