On July 24th in New Delhi, Anamika Khanna revealed her latest couture collection at India Couture Week (ICW). The collection was entitled “Luxury 2017” and was shown offsite at the Kila, Meharuli. The installation viewing took place from six to eight thirty in the evening on the first night of the week and was followed by the first runway show of ICW by Rohit Bal.

Khanna’s collection was presented on mannequins, some featuring large, surrealist art style heads and others presented in a more simple fashion. Elaborate flower displays decorated the space and an array of guests attended including Sunil Sethi, president of the Fashion Design Council of India.

The wedding section of Khanna’s collection was called “happily ever after” and included pieces intended for each ritual of the traditional Indian wedding. Khanna stated that, with her collection, she was “respecting and understanding the small nuances of every occasion” and also presented a variety of event wear.

ICW is organised by the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) and is currently celebrating its tenth anniversary. A total of 14 couture designers are in the process of showing their latest collections and the event runs until the 30th July.
