The natural cosmetics and wellbeing industry is currently growing at a fast pace in India. Brands like Patanjali are continuing to expand; “natural” cosmetic imports from Korea are booming, and new brands are continuously springing up. In order to harness this popular trend that looks set to stick around, Dabur and Amazon have come together to create an e-commerce space dedicated to Ayurveda.

Dabur headed the marketplace’s establishment and will feature its entire product selection on the site. KK Chutani, the Executive Director for Customer Care and Business for Dabur, said about the new development: “Setting up an Ayurveda marketplace further helps establish ourselves in this space and connect with millennial consumers.” Indeed, as Dabur is a long established brand, it is the younger generation they need to connect with most pressingly.

Alongside Dabur, other Ayurvedic brands that already feature on Amazon’s e-commerce site such as Patanjali will be part of the marketplace. However, Chutani assured that Dabur products will be given the main spotlight. The site not only features products but will also include tips and product explanations describing the various benefits of certain Ayurvedic treatments, both medically and in terms of beauty.
