Amazon India to open online ‘Classroom’ for sellers

Amazon India has launched Amazon Classroom, an interactive online training programme with courses to impart online selling skills to new sellers on the marketplace, the company said in a statement.

Open to all sellers who are less than a month old on Amazon.in, the programme creates a virtual classroom for sellers and focuses on areas such as order processing, adding products and managing returns that are required to operate a successful online business.

Amazon Classroom will be available for all new sellers across categories where they can register for these online classroom sessions and get the opportunity to understand the nuances of online selling workflows in a guided environment with free practice sessions, the company said.

Commenting on the launch of the programme, Mr. Gopal Pillai – Director and General Manager, Seller Services, Amazon India said, “Since our launch in 2013, we have been instrumental in enabling thousands of Indian sellers start, manage and grow their business on Amazon.in. As we enter the new financial year, we encourage thousands more to leverage our marketplace and make the most of India’s growing digital economy,”.
