Alcis Sports ties up with FIFA World Cup

The sports and leisure wear brand Alcis Sports has decided to tie up with FIFA World Cup to be the exclusive manufacturer and distributor in India for merchandise and clothing for the 2018 World Cup.

Alcis Sports has officially announced that it will be the merchandise partner for FIFA in India for this World Cup. The brand will also have the rights for Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Pakistan. According to the brand’s statements, the tie up will see it sell merchandise for different country’s teams such as Spain, England, Brazil, and Germany. Merchandise will include clothing priced in the affordable section of the market.

The Managing Director of Alcis Sports, Roshan Baid said: “We will leverage Paragon Apparels for backend manufacturing, which we believe is a core strength, along with new-age technology and styling.” Paragon Apparels is the promoter or Alcis Sports.

Launched in 2015, Alcis Sports sells a range of clothing intended for sports such as yoga, cricket, football, and running among others. The brand has also recently release a line of sustainably made t-shirts made from used plastic bottles. Baid recently released a film about the company’s use of recycled plastic and a recent brand statement on Facebook stated: “Alcis Sports is a hardcore Indian brand for Indian consumers giving a high-quality product in style as well as keeping environmental concerns in mind.”
