Ajay Kumar will be bringing his collection to a wider audience at a runway show in the city of Harbin for Harbin Fashion Week 2018, China. The designer, who is known for his eclectic use of print, will make his China debut and represent India at the Chinese fashion week.

“Each brand has its own look and feel, and my brand talks about print,” said Kumar. “Apart from weaving in elements of culture and history into my works, I have also made sure they are pollution-free. The series Bhu-Svah is woven in Khadi and the theme is all about eco-friendly fashion. I wanted to speak about conservation of the environment through portraying nature in creative and printed designs,’’ explained Kumar who will be showcasing a total of 20 ensembles.

Ajay Kumar founded his brand, Mr Ajay Kumar, in 2015 and made his runway debut that season at Lakmé Fashion Week’s Gen Next fashion show for the 2015/2016 season. Kumar has also shown at India each Fashion Week, Goa, as well as in Sri Lanka, and his designs across India in a number of multi-brand luxury boutiques.
