Since 2013, Agenda has been organizing a series of conferences as part of “Emerge” that are focused on major subjects for the action sports and streetwear industry. The leading trade show for the sector, with editions in Las Vegas, New York and California, and a major event in Long Beach, the show is now extending its concept to the net.

A few days before its California edition to be held from July 8-9, the show is launching a new multimedia platform called Agenda Emerge. The platform, which was put together with the team from The Berrics, is designed to present the experiences of leading figures from the sector through videos.

"We believe that brands, artists and designers are storytellers and we are captivated by their stories. Through unprecedented access and insightful narratives, we will explore how these mavericks of industry have adapted to, overcome, conquered, disrupted and influenced their fields of work. We have created Emerge to inspire the next generation of innovators and to reignite the passion of the veterans," said the team behind the site’s launch.

The purpose of the site is to share, especially using previous conferences held at the trade show. The first videos showcase the likes of Nike designer Tinker Hatfield, Obey founder Shepard Fairey, and Hurley founder, Bob Hurley. In each video, participants explain their creative process, how the conduct research and their inspiration for or adoption of innovation.

But the approach is clearly to push the concept forward, with an initial documentary lasting for nearly six minutes focused on the Cormack brothers in Vancouver as they narrate the story behind Herschel.
