Aditi Rao Hydari walks for Payal Singhal as showstopper at Lakmé Fashion Week

Bollywood actress Aditi Rao Hydari walked for designer Payal Singhal who showcased her “Saira” collection on day 4 of Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2018 in Mumbai.
 

Aditi Rao Hydari who portrayed the character of Delhi Sultanate ruler Alauddin Khilji's wife Mehrunissa in the recently released Bollywood flick ‘Padmavaat’ walked the ramp for the designer in the showstopper outfit which was an ivory silk, fully embroidered lehenga, choli and dupatta.
 
Payal Singhal’s collection Saira included lehengas, dhoti saris, kurtas and jackets with Kasav, Mukaish, Fardi, zardosi and filigree work. The material used by the designer for the collection included luxurious silk, Jamavaars, brocades with a touch of sheer organza and tulle.

The designer used rich colors like jewel tones of rose, blue and mint combining them with dark colors like navy, violet and black to give the outfits a royal look.
 
The collection has been inspired from the Roman, Byzantine and Persian culture. The ensembles have inspirations of Islamic art from Turkey, Morocco, Persia, Mughal India, Iran and Afghanistan.
 
The stone organza kurta with embroidered yoke worn with brocade bustier and salwars with scalloped embroidered georgette dupatta were some of the eye catchers from the Saira collection.
