Adidas and Palace Skateboards launch new collection with humorous campaign

Adidas has unveiled their newest collaboration with Palace Skateboards. This time the initiative between the UK skateboard-streetwear brand and the German sportswear giant’s takes a decidedly irreverent approach with a tongue-in-cheek lookbook and video.

The campaign video pokes fun at Adidas’s serious sportswear campaign. The video features an over-zealous, clumsy squash player, decked out in the new collaborative collection, aping the inspirational athletic videos Adidas frequently produces.

The collection combined Adidas’s American sportswear roots with Palace’s British history. Products included terry hoodies, tracksuits, hats, socks, and crewnecks, all in bold, graphic, prints. Also included in the new collection is a new sneaker silhouette “The Palace Indoor”. The shoe looks like similar to Adidas’s retro Superstar shoe, but it created using Adidas’s ‘boost’ comfort technology.

Palace Skateboards is a London-based skateboard brand. The brand has developed a strong following among its consumers, with each collection selling out quickly. The brand doesn’t follow a seasonal schedule; instead, it releases products every few weeks.

The collection launches at select Palace and Adidas retailers on November 12th.
