Dia Mirza who donned the Radha (Hindu goddess) avatar walked in a full-sleeved embroidered maroon velvet blouse and multicoloured lehenga with sheer off-white dupatta to the tunes of flute, sarangi and live singing, which echoed the essence of Lord Krishna's playful personality.

"I'm so proud to be Anju Modiji's showstopper. She is one of those designers who has, through almost 20 years of her career, been responsible for protecting and nurturing our heritage. "She's taken handicrafts and textiles to the next level. She likes to stick to her Indian roots and doesn't like messing it up. It's delicate and intricate," Dia said.

“Traveling through the land of the kings, Rajasthan,I found myself on a road less taken to a humble yet resolute mansion, The Sunehri Kothi. Weathered and rugged exteriors did little to give away the grandeur of what was once a ‘Golden Chalet’," Anju Modi said in a statement about the collection. "In this collection I bring alive its gold emblazoned interiors and intricate architectural detail, allowing a peak into the Sunehri Kothi that also emerged in the miniature art forms of that region," she added.

The ‘AnjuModi’ label has been in existence for over 25 years, becoming the epitome of luxury couture in India. With India at the centre of her inspirations, her work with the contemporizing of traditional crafts like Chanderi Weaving, Kota Fabrics, Varanasi Zari work and Bandhani printing, have been at the core of the label, serving a niche market.
