The event, conceived this season to be more of a trade show than a runway schedule, is set to be held with more than 1,200 global exhibitors from July 4-7 July at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Running under the theme Garden Breeze, Hong Kong Fashion Week will be divided into a number of zones, including the newly introduced Womenswear, Knitwear, Footwear, Leggings & Socks and Fashion Tech. Other returning zones will include Eyewear, Hair Accessories & Headwear and Embroidery & Sewing Supplies.

The three day event will also see a number of runway shows presenting the collections of debut designers and students from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Technological, Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong and Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Centre.

Further, industry experts from companies such as WGSN and Fashion Snoops will hold seminars on trends, sustainability and e-commerce strategies.

16,000 buyers from 65 countries and regions are expected to attend the event, organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council to promote Hong Kong-based brands, manufacturers and service providers.
