​Polish shoe retailer CCC reports weak December trading

CCC, the market leader in the Polish footwear retail industry, released on Monday the consolidated revenues for December. The company’s revenue amounted to PLN 222.7 million (€51.3m) in December 2015, falling 1.8% year-on-year.

The retailer said it recorded retail sales of PLN 212.4 million (€48.9m) in December, down 4.5% from the same period last year.

Despite December’s weak results, CCC said revenue for the period of January-December 2015 was PLN 2,307.2 million (€531.4m), representing a growth of 14.8% from the prior year’s period. Meanwhile, revenue from retail sales for the period January-December amounted to PLN 2,186.0 million (€503.4m), growing by 14.8% compared to the corresponding period of 2014.

The CCC group comprises 700 stores in 14 countries, its own leather shoes factory and 7,000 employees. Its shoes and bags can be found in directly-owned stores in Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Turkey, Germany and in franchise stores in Baltic countries, Russia, Ukraine, Romania and Kazakhstan.
